The loop pin is missing as you would expect , but overall a very rare British brooch. A framed set of Two English Celtic daggers . These items date from between 600 BC - 100 AD, and were found in North Yorkshire in the early 1970's. The larger dagger is in two pieces and the last CM of the tip is missing . The smaller dagger blade, has a small chip restored to the upper edge , but is otherwise complete including a small fixing stud .Size of the large dagger 30.5 CM . The smaller blade 14.5 CM in length.Frame size 31.5 CM X 18.5 CM.

A rare pair of English Celtic bronze Woad Grinders ,circa 100BC-100AD. This item was used to crush and to apply the plant root known as woad to the face of the warriors before they went into battle. When painted on the body and face this root turned the colour blue and was used to frighten the opposition in battle.When not in use these items were hung from the neck of the warrior on a leather thong. Size 6.5 CM 5.3 CM both pieces in length. Found Norfolk 1969.
