These fascinating hardback books date from 1906 onward.
They are the 'List Of Artistes of The Premier Provincial Entertainment and Concert Bureau' 114 Raffles Road Birkenhead. Director W.H.Elston.
Artistes engaged for Oratorio. Orchestral and Ballad Concerts.Grand Opera and Dramatic Performances.Vocal Quartettes.
There are 3 different editions.
They contain photos and biographies of each artiste that the Agent has on his books for hire.
There are some familiar names - Charles Tree; Mary Langdon; Madame Sobrino; Albert Garcia; Alice Baldwin.
Most were artistes of the more up-market sort -sopranos, baritones, tenors, violinists etc though there were a few typical Music Hall Entertainers such as Arthur Rix and Professor Weber and the The Venetians Mandoline and Guitar Band.
A fascinating look back at the fashion both for entertainment and dress of the time.
Also contain advertisements for Belaroma cigars, Bananine Bread etc.
The 2 red cover copies are in good order though the spines are faded. The cover of the grey is tatty with the front board off and loose pages. The pages themselves are in good order.

An Art Nouveau Tuderic Pewter Tankard, possibly designed by Archibold Knox in the early 1900's. Embossed with stylised plants/flowers around the base. It has a plaited reed covering to the handle, ENGLAND,TUDERIC, 0967 on the base. It stands approx 5 inches/13 cms high. It is in reasonably good condition but does have some scratches to the patina at the front on the foot, but no dents etc.
