A 2nd World War Number 4 Mark II standard spike bayonet made in the USA by the Savage Co - with S stamp.
With metal ball ended scabbard.
With khaki webbing frog.
[This bayonet was introduced in 1940 and was a wartime version of the Mk I, in which further simplifications were made. On this model the blade is of circular section and tapers to a screwdriver point and it is made of a one piece forging, so that the blade and socket are one. Many of these bayonets were made under contract in the USA and all are marked with the model designation and name or trade mark of the maker (usually Stevens-Savage, whose mark was 'S'). Made for use with Rifle No 4.]

This ammo pouch would have been a private purchase belonging to a 1st World War Officer and would have been worn on his Sam Browne belt.
This fine example is complete and in very good condition -the leather is strong and pliable with a rich age patina.
The hand stitching is sound.
There are of course some use marks and scratches but nothing nasty
