A very good quality Religious censor.This item which dates to the late 18th- early 19th century AD, is decorated with a large cross as shown , and has a flip top lid.It stands on a ring base and is made of sheet bronze .A small heat crack appox. one cm in length is present to the side of a vent hole.This is about the thickness of a hair-. and as such- does not detract from what is a rare item, which is seldom offered for sale . A Large bronze decorated cross. This piece which dates from circa 7th- 8th Century AD, shows ring and dot decoration to the centre of the cross. It has an all over green patina and still has the remains of its original chain still present. Four rivet holes, one on each arm of the cross are still visible which would imply that the cross in its day had a wooden back plate, which is now eroded in antiquity.This is a very rare item and is in superb condition.
